Kerianne Bethers

Office Manager

Our employee spotlight for this issue is on Kerianne Bethers.  Kerianne has worked in our office since 1996.  She has done everything from sterilization and dental assisting to her current position as our office manager.  We have asked her to take this opportunity to share a little about her life out side of our office.

It seems hard to believe that ten years have passed since I started working with Dr. Coombe.  I feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful job at a young age.

I am privileged to have lived in Central Oregon for the majority of my life.  Currently, my husband Jason and I live east of Bend with our two golden retrievers Max and Macy.  We truly enjoy every aspect that this area has to offer.  In the summer, we spend most of our spare time at the lake.  While in the winter, we enjoy snowmobiling.  In between the seasons, we like taking trips to the coast to go crabbing and riding on the sand dunes.

I admire Dr. Coombe because of his continual encouragement for each employee to take pride and ownership in the practice.  His top priority has always been for us to exceed our job expectations and to advance within our profession.  Due to this support, two achievements come to mind:

In 2003, I started a program new to our city called Leadership Redmond.  Through this leadership development program I was able to meet various community leaders and learn about the inner workings of our region.  As a result of this course, I’ve decided to volunteer on the Hospice Festival of Trees committee each year.

I have also completed certification with our dental software company, Dentrix.  My training specializes in various high tech aspects of the software such as digital imaging.  So, in my spare time, I am able to travel around Oregon and train other dental offices.

I look forward to coming to work every day because of my challenging job, my caring co-workers and our dedicated patients.  I believe that job satisfaction comes from a person’s ownership in the heart of a business.  This is what generates long-term employees who are willing to cope with the good and bad times that every company endures.  I am fortunate to have found such a great job in a challenging and ever-changing profession.
