Tina has been with Coombe & Jones since 2005, but has over 7 years of experience as a chairside assistant.  Behind the mask, some of you may recognize Tina as that cheery faced, former server from the Country Nook in Redmond .

I am a Central Oregon native who grew up in Crook County and worked on my parent’s ranch in Powell Butte.  I was involved in 4-H, taking a steer to the county fair every year.  In high school I was active in cross country, track and basketball as well as leadership club.

I have two beautiful, blonde-haired daughters, Abbe and Ellie, ages 7 and 6 respectively, who are the sunshine in my life.  They attend Powell Butte Elementary School , which they love, as do I, because it is small school with a lot of character and community behind it.  I went there as a child myself, and the girls have many of the same teachers who taught me many years ago.  Abbe and Ellie love to read, especially when they get choose new books, and they also participate in a children’s weekly tap dance class in Prineville.  We are looking forward to their annual dance recital next spring.

My personal interests include quilting, scrap booking, and personal fitness.  I have been on an all women’s team the past two years participating in the “Portland to Coast Walk.”  It was a lot of hard work, but really rewarding and fun.  Family time is also very important to me, and as do many that live in this area, we enjoy walking and hiking together in beautiful Central Oregon .  We also love to venture to Seaside or Depot Bay on the Oregon coast in the summer.  But most of all, my daughters and I take pleasure in spending time with my parents, “Grandma and Grandpa,” while helping out with all of their animals on the ranch, including cows, goats, donkeys, dogs, and cats! 

While I still occasionally fill-in at “The Nook”, I also feel truly blessed by all of the nice people that I’ve met while working there and all of the friends I’ve made, some of whom I am lucky enough to see in the dental chair.

Working in a state-of-the-art office is very exciting and has definitely been an educational experience for me.  I confidently feel advanced in my dental assisting career as I learn how to help Dr. Coombe place sparkling cosmetic cases and dental implants.  Especially now while taking 3D images with our CT Scan machine, I know we are on the cutting edge of dentistry.  I really enjoy working for Dr. Coombe and Dr. Jones and feel so lucky to not only know, but to work closely with all of the wonderful people in this office!
