Kevin R. Coombe, DMD

Fellow: American Academy of Implant Dentistry

Kevin R. Coombe, DMD Redmond OR“Besides really liking my childhood dentist, I was drawn to a career in dentistry because I am a natural problem-solver. This is still at the heart of why I love what I do and why I strive to be able to provide the very highest standard of care. It’s a real joy to solve a person’s dental problems and earn their satisfaction and trust.

“But how I go about caring for someone and working to solve their problem is also essential to providing the top-quality results they deserve and I demand. My goal is to give my patients a lifetime of dental health, oral comfort and winning smiles. And I’ve learned over the past two decades as a dentist that this takes commitment to each person’s individual needs. It also means keeping my skills sharp and my knowledge up to date. Yet, it’s just as important that I work efficiently, value each person’s time and always be honest, direct and engaged with them. Ultimately, I believe in doing for you the very same things I would demand for myself or my loved ones.”

Greggery E. Jones, DMD

Master: Academy of General Dentistry
Fellow: Academy of General Dentistry

Greggery E. Jones, DMD - Redmond, OR“Using a skill to benefit the well-being of others is the reason I felt called to dentistry as a profession. And I’ve never regretted it. I really enjoy interacting with people, particularly while doing something that really does have a positive effect on their lives and health. After more than 30 years as a dentist, I know beyond any doubt that good dentistry is about people, not procedures.

“When I’m able to change a person’s life through cosmetic dentistry, relieve their pain through endodontic care or improve their quality of life through periodontics or restorative care, it is both important and fulfilling. This makes it a very worthy endeavor, in my view, which is why I’ve committed myself to being the best possible dentist I can be. I have worked diligently and continue to do so to achieve the highest levels of competence in virtually every aspect of dentistry. I try to bring humor and an easygoing manner to each person’s care, but behind it is a true sense of doing everything as well as it can be done for everybody who puts his or her trust in me.”

Deborah Shapiro, RDH

Deborah Shapiro, RDH - Redmond, OR“When I was just 14 years old, I started working for my father, who was a dentist. It was later that I decided to return to my ‘roots’ in dentistry and become a dental professional. I found dental hygiene to be a natural fit for me, and yet challenging enough that I was motivated to reach higher and be the best hygienist I can be. And this is still the case; I believe there is always more to learn and room to be even better.

“I strive to give each person that ideal combination of excellent clinical skills, a comfortable experience and the information and knowledge that will help them maintain a healthy, happy smile. And trust and understanding are essential parts of this effort. I have my own personal and family stories about oral health and experiences with dentistry, and I understand what it’s like to be nervous or fearful or even embarrassed. As your hygienist, I’m a partner in your oral and general health, and my focus is on doing what’s right and best for you, including being there as a caring advocate and guide.”

Debby Whipple, RDH

Debby Whipple, RDH - Redmond, OR“I chose to become a dental hygienist because dentistry blends my interest in science with my love of people. Dentistry is always advancing and evolving, and it’s very diverse, with a wide variety of problems and challenges. I enjoy this part of it, and it’s impossible to be bored. But it’s also interesting and rewarding because of the people. I’m very lucky to get to meet, interact with and help so many different people. And in the process, I have developed a lot of relationships and even have learned a lot about myself.

“I am happy and content with my life, and I bring this outlook and attitude to my work. It helps put people at ease when they’re in the dental chair, but it’s also an expression of my focus. I give 100% of my attention to you, and everything that I do is tailored to your unique needs. Basically, I see myself as a ‘co-owner’ of your dental and overall health. So I’m a straight-shooter, but I’m also a caring partner who is interested in who you are and dedicated to your best interests.”

Alissa Atherly, RDH

Alissa Atherly, RDH - Redmond, OR“When I was a teenager, I lost four teeth in an automobile accident. As the dentist was rebuilding my smile, I found myself fascinated by the process and everything that was involved. So I went to college to become a dental assistant and worked in that career for a number of years. While doing that, I loved listening to the dental hygienists I worked with, and I saw that they had more time and direct interaction with patients, which I envied. Today, as a hygienist, I enjoy the very things that I had envied back then, particularly being directly engaged with people in a meaningful way.

“My objective is to give every person I come into contact with the very best in clinical care... along with a gentle, caring touch and the knowledge to help them have a healthy, happy smile. I listen closely. I take the time to get to know my patients and understand their individual needs. And I strive to earn their trust by being completely dedicated to and focused on what is most appropriate and effective for their unique situation.”

Serene Gribskov, RDH

Serene Gribskov, RDH - Redmond, OR“I went into dental hygiene because it seemed like a worthwhile career. I didn’t realize at the time that it was so interesting, challenging and personally and professionally fulfilling. It’s a choice that I have never regretted and never will. I find it rewarding to be able to make a difference in people’s lives, and this has driven me to strive for excellence each and every day.

“Over the years, I’ve found that my personality and approach can be as beneficial to patients’ care as my skill and experience. While I’m a dental professional, we are equals. I don’t talk down to you, and I don’t make anyone feel bad, guilty or ashamed. We are in this together, which is also why I work to keep you comfortable and as at-ease as possible And I have a knack for helping people who are anxious about dentistry to manage their fears and focus on their health. This is, after all, about your oral and general health, and I never lose sight of the fact that my skill, my dedication and my guidance are central to your well-being, your happiness and your quality of life.”
